moonlight1631's Journal, 06 July 2011

Well, about a month ago I had a doctor's appointment. He hadn't seen me since last year November when I was 230lbs. He was pleasantly surprised. My sugar reading was 80 when the nurse checked, even after I had eaten my meal about 1 hour ago! He took me off the diabetes medication and the GERD medicine. I have no heartburn and acidity anymore and I feel great that I am off some medication. The only ones I still take is the hypothyroidim medication and even that he lowered the dose. I used to take. 125mcg and he lowered it to 100mcg. He said to keep up the great work and I am ecstatic. I never want to go back to taking medication must less inject insulin which I wan doing 3 years ago. Guys, it is totally worth it getting your health on track! It is definitely hard work but you feel so much better and you prolong your life! This weekend my fiance and I went to an Italian place that we love and we surprisingly could not eat big portions anymore. Needless to say, we had food for two days. I have cravings here and there but my body is used to low carbing now. I feel great. I need to keep losing though. I really want to get to 150lbs. I feel that I haven't finished what I started until that is achieved. I lost 50lbs so I can do 30 more :)

You absolutely can do the rest! Congratulations on getting off some meds! That's totally awesome and will not only save your health, long-term, but also some time (fewer medical appts.) and money (no, or fewer prescription co-pays)!!
