Wowee! You've done a lot of exercise today. Good job! You deserve to be thinner. Sorry to hear that you're feeling bored and wanting to eat. That's a very painful struggle. Keeping busy with food will only work temporarily, and then we'll feel even worse. Can you do something to keep busy? The problem with boredom at the end of a busy workday is the tiredness that goes with it. Maybe some of these activities will get your mind off food: 1. Read a real page turner? (I go regularly to 2nd hand book stores or the library and keep a supply of paperbacks handy for quiet times). 2. Rent a DVD? (I enjoy watching reruns of favorite TV shows that come in boxed sets...more for later). 3. Phone someone? 4. Brush your teeth? 5. Take a bath or shower? 6. Polish your fingernails? 7. Look at photographs/work on a scrapbook? 8. Surf on the internet (keep a running list of things you've always ante to look up and save them). 9. Write an E-mail? 10. Go to a store? 11. Putter around the house? 12. Write in your food journal? 13. Get/read a magazine? 14. Play solitaire? 15. Checkout a movie at the cinema? 16. Try an exercise class at the local gym? 17. Do a specific chore? 18. Go for a walk? When I was thin, and didn't struggle with eating, I didn't eat in the evening after dinner. Period. Nothing. Perhaps the odd cup of tea or not at all. I'm toying with the idea of making a rule for myself about not eating two hours before bedtime. When I say to myself with total conviction, NO CHOICE, NOT AN OPTION, the temptation usually diminishes. If I want the benefits of being thinner, I just can't eat whenever I want. It doesn't work that way. Stay strong, Redlornie!!! There's nothing you can't do!!!
