alanpfd's Journal, 20 May 2011

Day 10. Real life has gotten in the way of keeping up the journal, but I have been able to stay on track; keeping my calorie intake at right around 1200. It's amazing that I'm not suffering from hunger nearly as much as I would expect at that ridiculous number.

The biggest issue I'm dealing with right now is finding the time to cook my one meal. I've been using recipes from the Slim-Fast website and several have been quite good, but they all take a substantial amount of time to cook, and when I come home from work, I want to eat right now. I did manage to cook this evening and I made enough so I've already got my meal for tomorrow.

The weight loss at my first weigh in was frightening -- 11.2 pounds. There's no way that's real; there must be a lot of water weight in there. I'll be more than satisfied if I can drop another two pounds this week.

Next week is also when I get back to the gym. I've been putting it off for the past couple weeks because of a lingering cold, but I'm feeling well enough to start getting some exercise.
