We have the same RDI so you can look at my diet log if you want to see how to eat and stay full. Yesterday was my weekly cheat day so you can skip that one LOL. If you eat the right way you will rearly be hungry and when that's the case just drink a big mug of tea. My food is measured in the metric system: 1 gram = 0.035 ounces

It sounds like you have a good objective with your food and exercise. Make sure to take 1-2 days off from exercising a week to let your body recover.

funny you mention that...I started last night and my legs are so sore today so I decided to rub myself out with muscle oil and will resume exercise tomorrow

You can actually eat a lot of food as long as it's the right foods. Staying within a calorie count really encourages you to load up on the high volume, low cal veggies and to reconsider the more dense foods. It's all a matter of trial and error and honestly, if you're truly hungry (not bored, not thirsty, not craving) don't be afraid to have a healthy snack even if it puts you above your calorie count. Part of this processes is learning your body's hunger signals and listening to them. The other half of that is stopping when you feel full, even if you still have food left in your allowance. Keep it up, though, it looks like you're on the right track.

The statement "It's crazy how little we are suppose to eat"...Very true! As the saying goes "Eat to live not Live to Eat!"...Boy now I agree with that statement...LOL.. There are times I do not reach my RDI because I am not hungry, the foods I eat seem to satiate me, although I hate to go too low that is not healthy either...I enjoy not craving for food anymore, eating when I am hungry and watching the change in my appearance and the aches and pains just vanish. I love this new me..

:) thanks! I want to feel how eating 1500 cal with snacks feels like - I normally eat 3 big meals so I hope by breaking down my meals I will feel more satieted :)

I've found that multiple small meals is most beneficial. Snacks increase my appetite. I wait until I'm hungry for a meal and then eat something healthy. I eat 5-6 times a day - all small meals - and I eat about 1500 calories a day. Just a suggestion. Find what works for you :)

Agree to all. Eat the right foods, lots of veggies, you can actually eat a lot. I', with reenergize I often struggle to reach my RDI.

I tell people to use their fist as a 4oz portion size...one fist-size of meat for dinner, two fists for veggies, etc....works for some people...scale is always going to be the most accurate obviously though

Problem with the fist thing is that peoples hands are different sizes. My bones are tiny size 4.5 ring, totally different from someone with larger bones. Weigh it, in restaurants use their weights as they do portion control to control food costs.

thanks for the tips

True story WFN, mine is a perfect 4 oz...I'll just send you all a replica of mine hehe ;)

I haven't heard of a fist being 4 oz. A fist is supposed to be the size of your stomach. The palm of your hand is supposed to be 4 oz of meat.

I agree with the size of your palm of your hand, that's what my Doctor said about meat, or the size of a deck of cards...

I also heard of the palm - but the fist is the size of the palm but it is thicker - so it's better to use the palm

Your palm is the size of your fist.....with your fingers down....like chopping our fingers off....I guess I'm looking at it looking at the backside of my hand...which would be the other side of my palm...
