This should be interesting Chad. I look forward to seeing your results. You are basically doing what I am now doing. I changed my goal weight to from 165 to 176 this morning. I have been letting my carbs creep up a little bit lately but never over 100. I still mix in a few ultra-low carb days during the week but for the most part, I am now just limiting carbs as opposed to severely restricting them since I am no longer trying to lose weight. The one thing I struggle with when I keep the carbs low is keeping my electrolytes balanced. I have to pop potassium citrate supplements and put sea salt on everything. I even add the Morton light salt (50% potassium) to the water I drink every day. If you start feeling crappy or extra sore, check to make sure you’re getting your electrolytes!

I have fruit in my oatmeal and take 2 met-rx active man multivitamins every morning, and drink MP Amino1 during my workouts, so hopefully I dont have any electrolyte issues. Interesting though, I had to take 4 days off from the gym after my last arms workout because the DOMS was so severe, I think that was just the intensity of the workout though.

You should be good with your electrolytes because of the fruit and oatmeal. I don’t eat those things right now, which is probably why I live with DOMS every day. LOL! I hope the extra calories will help though. I’m doing a deload week right now just so I can fully recover before hitting it hard again next week.
