Yeah...now my daughter and her boyfriend are coming for the weekend. She wants everything planned to the minute before you do anything. Hubby and I just take off and do the walk/run when we feel up to it and when we have time. We will now have to go on her schedule for the next 3 days or she will get really crabby! I don't know when the next walk will fit in...we will see.

Well you could tell her you have a scheduled walk by yourself anytime she gets crabby!

I have the entire day Saturday all to myself. She is just too much and she wanted to be on the road by 8 am...mini golf by 10 am...lunch with Grandpa at noonish...then go see Grandma. They are my husband's parents and are divorced. I would have liked to see them...but I could not handle her drill sergeant mentality all day. So instead I am going to put together all the pictures that she wanted (k-12 pics of herself, brother and k-9 pics of her sister). She was disappointed that she could not find pictures the same size of all of them. I will then scan them all...put them on a disk and go print them all the same size. Two of them I already have their pics on the computer because of graduation. So just have to scan 10 of them for the youngest and off I go.

WOW... I understand budgeting you time but not when Your with family. Was she like this when she was younger or did she fight you when you had your schedule. Let her do her own thing and enjoy your time the way you have been. Have a great weekend

Agreed. I have decent, respectful relationship with my MIL -- I think mainly because I tread lightly. It's his mom, no need in my making her occasional insertion into our 'everyday' miserable. Just do you... :D

We just were discussing what kind of child she was. She always had to be the center of attention. This scheduling thing really became an issue in high school...but got worse when she went to college. She is almost done with college and then she will find out what real life is like. Wait till she has kids and they won't follow her schedule. I plan on laughing my butt off...That is when the weight will really fall off me! I had a wonderful day from 8 am to 7 pm all by myself. Did not get what I planned done...but got some other things done that were really important to me. So Yeah me! I did not have to answer to anyone and it was WONDERFUL! Celebrated with some adult beverages tonight. I have to go sleep like a baby...Have a great weekend every one!

This is the classic difference between age & youth. Our youngest DD turns 30 this year & sounds much like your DD, also used to juggling college, work & fun times & must schedule everything. She is moving back in with us for awhile next month. I'm looking forward to being with her & having fun together, but not to being pushed around to fit someone else's plans. LOL, you have a great sense of humor K, laughing your butt off & losing weight, sounds like something I'd say. Glad you had some free time to reduce the stress, & accomplished some good things too. Hope you're having a great day, hang in there gal, "This too shall pass".

Thank you Glammer. I needed the day to myself Saturday. It was wonderful!!! Allowed me to recharge. Then I was able to get more stuff done on Monday. Now if the mosquitoes only knew that they do not need to come out to play already!
