I don't know if it's the holiday, vacation, my friend visiting this month, the weather, stress, being invited to lots of people's houses but I'm having trouble eating well the past couple of days. It's easy to eat just the right things if you are home and at your own kitchen, but it's a different story when you are out and / or hungry or tempted . . . . Now I have to go get ready for a big family lunch gathering we are invited to. I feel like such a fake! People keep saying, "Wow you look so great!" or, "What have you been doing?" And I'm afraid I'm gaining weight, cheating, or not doing well enough! See you later friends!

Life is lived with people. Don't let yourself go, but do let yourself enjoy this time of family and connections. "What have you been doing?" Is the perfect segway into taking someone to the grocery store with you and buying something tasty that you can make for the family. They won't know what hit 'em and you won't be wondering what hit you! Relax...Some of the old family faves can stay, in moderation. Only a 1/4c of that potato salad vs the 1c serving you used to get! You can do this!

Thanks for supporting my journal. I have a big family dinner on easter, my dad is making risotto and lamb so I try to plan the days food intake around that so I stay within reasonable calories!
