Feeling a little surreal right now. I am starting to be more organized and that's new for me. I'm more used to feeling behind the eight ball than on top of things but I'm actually routinely making lunches the night before, planning dinners, cleaning the kitchen nightly. The latest thing seems to be laundry management. I'm feeling a little giddy that the last load I could find is now in the washer. (I won't be surprised to find that one sock that somehow eluded my earlier visual sweeps after the wash is near done. That's usually how it goes. But at least there's no backed up dirty laundry. :P)

It is kind of wild to me how I am finding a rhythm and staying with it because I didn't use to be able to do that. I even have a routine in the evening. Dinner. Get the kids ready for bed and read them a story. Make lunches. Get the dishwasher running, sink cleared and no debris out. Then fun with DH, usually in the form of popcorn and an episode of Farscape. :) I'm a nerd. I know it. Some people like soap operas. I guess I do too, mine just take place in space- usually. (Enterprise is the only Star Trek series I've never really followed. TNG is my favorite with Voyager and DS9 jockeying for a close second. Battlestar Gallactica was fun for a while, as was Dr Who- but the newer versions of both; I haven't seen the vintage stuff. I've loved X-files forever. Sliders, Quantum Leap and Stargate SG1 also. So, sci fi fan girl much? :P)

Yup, that's how we do it. I liked some of the Buffy/ Angel stuff, but I don't think it would be fun to watch with DH. I don't usually see regular tv because we don't have the set up at home, but whenever I'm at someone else's house and they have the tv on it reminds me of how much I don't miss it. The ads and such, it's just not worth it for me. Though it's annoying sometimes when I'm in the mood for a particular movie and Netflix doesn't have it. Oh, let's watch Young Frankenstein! Nope. The Three Musketeers? Nope. The newer version of Sense and Sensabilities starring Keira Knightly and others? Don't hold your breath. :( (I was really looking forward to that too after reading the book. Parts of the book- particularly the middle third- were tedious, so I kept slogging through because I had planned to reward myself for finishing the book by seeing the movie.) Sometimes Netflix decides to discontinue a movie from instant streaming somewhat arbitrarily--that actually happened to something my hubby had started and wanted to show me, but was removed from instant streaming before I could see it. :( Though usually between Hulu or Youtube or Netflix or Amazon there's a variety of fun stuff to watch. :)
