A little off & sluggish this morning, but well worth it after a fabulous night watching the Nutcracker at Lincoln Center & a delicious dinner. It was a great night, a little longer than I needed, but a nice Holiday event, so no complaints here. I know I'll have to be on the guard today because of this "off" feeling - almost like a slight case of vertigo (which I've had in the past, but much, much worse). I wonder if the van ride to/from NYC did it as i began to feel it upon our return. The return driver drove quite fast & the ride was very bumpy, plus DH & I were in the back row. I though it was just a mild case of car sickness, but since its still here this morning?… & I'm sure the glass and a half of wine didn't help… but tasted so good!
Luckily, I have an easy day today… good planning on my part :), including a manicure & call with my health coach this afternoon. Of course, this time of year, there's shopping, groceries, and holiday prep to fill in the gaps… and a workout this morning and nap. I have become quite an accomplished cat napper! We were home by 11:30 last night, but thats still 1 1/2 hours after my normal bedtime. And, I have some "off"days ahead, meaning I don't have to be "on" at a social event for at least a week.
But, before I begin my day, I'll pray --
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time; Enjoying one moment at a time; Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace; Taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it; Trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His Will; That I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with Him Forever in the next. Amen.
And, throughout this one day, and each one meal, moment, bite & emotion, I'll pray, breathe, log, journal & express my way. I'm so grateful once again to have each of you to share with every day, my family & IRL friends, a picture perfect snow covered view of the woods our home backs up to out my kitchen window, sunshine, a fun night in NYC after having fun playing paddle tennis with the snow falling on us yesterday, and having the health & wealth to live this life I love, even though it comes with a few sluggish days after. xoxox
