I feel so much better today. I am at work, focusing on tackling a good problem to work on and learniing interesting stuff.
I feel good, somehow relieved.
I can focus again, in a good way. Trying to set a routine with my new job, sport, food and seeing friends. Its strarting to work. I want to go back on track and loose 5 or 6 pounds. I think at this moment I like my body shape, and it's maybe one of the few times in my life. I want to improve my belly and am planning to workout my core more often.
On average, I eat more healthy than 2 years ago, even if cakes and sweet stuff pops up a bit too often. The good thing is, learning to get less than a "portion" is for other people. Cutting just a small slice of cake myself, rather than letting other people doing it for me. Eating only half of the icecream I get from the shop. Eating less carbs than I would have done.
The "secrets" to keep on staying fit or loosing weight are eating properly (healthy 90% of the times), keeping portions small, keep on working out, avoid using food to relieve the stress and bad emotions, learning to go back on track as soon as we understand we fell off the wagon. A healthy lifestyle is possible and it is possible to keep it all life long.

I am happy again about my life. I found a new job, a new partner, lots of friends here in Germany. The past week I have been in such a bad mood.... That's pretty understandable due to the circumstances, the point is: I have power over my emotions. There are things in life we cannot do much about, on the other hands, there are many things we can improve, chance, enjoy.

Yestreday I went to relax to one of my favorite cafes in this town. I spent 3 hours outdoor, reading a good book, looking at people, enjoying the sun, and a good coffee. I deserve a good life, and so everybody does.
It's a matter of respect to ourselves to take care of our bodies and minds and emotions.
We are human, meaning we need fuel for life, being it for our bodies or souls. Good food choices and rewarding ourselfs (not in a foodwise way!) let us improve our performance on this earth, meaning being more happy, more productive at work. It took me ages to understand and being able to apply these basic principles to my life.
I went to horrible times and experiences in my life, I learnt a lot. And my life is much more worth living now :)

Sorry for this long kind of pep talk. I need to remind these things to myself from time to time. And I hope they might be useful to other people as well. The fatsecret community is amazing and supporting and helping all buddies! I want to thank you all fotr all the support words you wrote for me during the past 2 years!
