So Yesterday I decided to try out the Biggest Loser Cardio Max DVDI bought. I've just been walking 45 minutes everyday, which I know is still good for me, but I know I need to be working my muscles out a little more... . and OMGOSH!!! It KICKED my booty!!! literally. I didn't know there were that many different forms of LUNGES!! and apparently my thighs and buttocks didn't either because they are in PAIN today!! LOL!! It's good though because I know I got a good workout in, but geez! Even the muscles in my back hurt! Yowza!!
I think im going to just do the video 1-2 times a week for now and walk the other days, until my muscles get a little stronger.

But YAY for home exercises that work!

One more question for my lady buddies on here:
WARNING!!! TMI ON ITS WAY!!! ONLY READ IF YOU ARENT OFFENDED BY WOMANLY .... THINGS? lol

So, since I first got my period, say... 7 years ago? they have always been random, VERY irregular. I was put on birth control to regulate them, but it didn't really work. So they took me off of it. About 6 wrong diagnoses and 7 years later they got to the point were I was only having one a YEAR!! seriously, the same month every year too. It was weird. Annnyway, but so like two weeks after I started eating better, and exercising daily, I got my period. I thought it was just a fluke.. and that my yearly one just came a little early, but then sure enough, septembers came at the exact same time.. and now Octobers is right on time. ???????????? Has anyone else had this problem? and did exercising and eating better regulate yours? and if my better lifestyle is what helped it, WHY DO DOCTORS NOT TELL YOU THESE THINGS??? Its so frustrating sometimes. I've been overweight since I was about 14, and not one doctor has EVER told me I should try to lose some weight. or that it might be the problem with my cycle.
Sorry for all that, just curious if anyone else has had the same thing happen to them.

Hope everyone has had a good week!

That's ridiculous that a doctor hasn't ever pointed that out to you. Weight definitely affects menstruation. Just like being under weight, being over weight & obese have a major affect & can cause you to stop getting your period as well as fertility issues. Diet, exercise & the changes you've made are definitely affecting your body in a good way as it's doing what it's suppose to now. So congrats on now having to deal w/ a monthly pain in the butt = p

I have the Cardio Max Dvd too. And it really does kick booty. O.O Literally feels like someone has kicked you in the butt the next morning. XD lol. Losing weight does regulate your period out normally. Did for me too. lol. Back in 2008, my hubs got home from deployment, we were 'spending alot of time' together and I had started to drop weight. I became pregnant with my daughter 3 months after Hubs got home. lol. We had gotten married on his two weeks leave for that deployment too. So everything worked out well. :) My cycles were always pretty regular, but I had some hormone issues, and endomitriosis (sp?) issues as well. It was suppose to be hard for me become pregnant. But I showed them. lol. I've known alot of women who has had irregular periods, who have lost weight, and had things regulate back out. Can't believe a doc never said anything about losing weight and that it would help regulate yours out. ^.^ I hope you have a great day. :D

I've been totally "irregular" all my life until now, and I am 32! As soon as I took up regular exercise and good eating habits, my menstrual cycle became like clockwork, every 30 days. But my cramps seem to keep getting worse the more weight I lose.. Win some lose some I guess! Lunges are great :). If you take a walk the day after that kind of strength training exercise, the soreness will pass quicker.
