I think maybe I've been underestimating my calorie counts or something, because I haven't been seeing any smaller numbers on the scale despite working out and keeping my calories around 1,500 a day. Last night I got a little frustrated and had a sort of "well, f*ck it" night and ended up eating more than I should of. But now that is over with I've decided to go back to 1,300 calories again. I think maybe if I do this I'll end up averaging a true 1,500 calories a day. My biggest problem, I think, has been my lunches of Safeway ready-made sandwiches. I looked it up online and it said they were about 450 calories. I'm starting to think that is without mayo and cheese or something. Either way, I think I'll start eating only half of that sandwich and try to estimate it manually instead by inserting all of the separate ingredients myself. I'll also stop eating so much ice cream! But honestly, I only ate it when I had only eaten 1,200 calories that day.

So if after a week or so the scale doesn't move, I'll figure I'm just gaining a ton of muscle quickly. I know my body has been sore for most days of the week due to my strength training class and an unexpected 3 hour hike I took on a class field trip. But I still think I should be losing weight, not gaining it. Of course it is all just trial and error, but I definitely would like to see the scale go down when I exercise in stead of up.
