I had the most horrible morning. I was checking my email and got a shocker! My dear friend who I teach sunday school and preschool with was in a head on collision last night. A car traveling the opposite direction hit the median, flipped and landed on top their car! My friend's mother was killed. she was only in her 50's. My friend suffered a shattered ankle and has been in surgery to repair it, and her daughter who was also in the car(7 yrs old) was kept over night and is in a neck brace, but mostly suffered cuts and bruises. I was just stunned. This poor family. they are all so close and for my friend to lose her mother so suddenly and tragicly like that.... I just can't imagine. I was supposed to go to my son's hockey game this morning, but I took my daughter and went to church instead. It was the only place I wanted to be. It really hits home when something random like this happens to those close to you. I always keept these words in the back of my mind "tomorrow is never promised... every day is a gift." amen to that.
