I have to find a way to be social that does not revolve around lunches, dinners, and parties in general. I do not want to give up my amazing friends and our time we spend together, but I am not sure if I will always have the will power to say no to the goodies that seem to show up at the potlucks and the nice dinners out. I do have people over so I can control that and when I take a potluck dish now I make sure it is something I can eat. But geeze it is so hard. Course if it was easy, everyone would be skinny right?

I have never been a binger or a closet eater...I figure if your hefty they pretty much know what you are eating. I get more of the other side from my husband and friends, "you don't really eat that much". Problem is..what I eat.

I actually started WW on July 29th and have lost 10.6 pounds so far. I don't mind tracking the points but I have found that I do have to really make sure that the protein is outweighing the carbs...literally, or I don't do as well.

I do seem to crave carbs...and not the sweet ones..bread. My grandmother made bread every Friday for 3 families. Her "brown" bread is one of my fondest childhood food memories, and I think it still comforts me at times today. I need to let the memory of my grandmother comfort me and not the food associated. She taught me how to make that bread along with a lot of other great things and we save those for very special times.

So I will try to party on....minus the cals :>))
