Hi FS buddies!
Journaling from Italy :)
Had amazing Italian food the past few days. Today we had a traditional Easter lunch by my granny. Parma ham, salami, mozzarella, artichokes as a starter. Then traditional soup, with small meatballs cooked in red wine. Then homemade lasagne. Then lamb baked in the oven, with garlic and rosemary, and a simple salad as a side dish. Then traditional sweets, made with almonds, egg and sugar. Then chocolate, coffee and.. sofa! :)
It has been so nice to spend some quality time with my family, since it does not happen than often, cause I live abroad.
My granny is so sweet: she's 150cm tall, so cute and kind, always worried about me eating properly :) A real Italian grandma!
I am spending time with my daddy as well. A friend of his, who was about his age, died few weeks ago, and since then he was a bit depressed. We have been watching telly from afternoon till night today and yesterday as well. He loves watching telly, at least 6 hours every day (maybe that's why I don't own one...). That's something I would not do alone, but with my daddy, it becomes nice.
The weather has been good only one of the past days, it was 30Celsius and sunny, but it compensated for all the cold weather of the past few months.
Good weather, good food and my family helped improving my mood. It's such a relief to be home, exactly in the house where I grew up, and not being overwhelmed by all bad memories involving my mum. For the first time after she died, about two years ago, I have been able to wear her clothes, have a look at her jewlery, shoes, books, without crying or being upset... without any negative emotions. I am so happy that's over. I keep the nice memories with me, all time.
I have been missing my partner a lot. And also realized it's a healthier relationship, compared to my past ones.
My life improved a lot since a few years ago. I only need to find a job I like, anyway I am very happy about my life and my new way of living and enjoying every single day.
I won't think about calories for the next few days, as I did since I am back to Italy. As soon as I am back to Germany I want to start again going running, once a week, hoping the German weather will allow that.
I am so happy!! Life is amazing and good!!
