Re-energize's Journal, 29 July 2019

Oh my goodness the weigh scale is sure giving me a run in the weight loss department...not even an ounce... I walk just about every day no less than 4 mile and this is my third week for the regime I have to work with my weights, so can't figure it out, it is so frustrating, I will cut my portions and foods way back this week and try to give myself a jump start again to drop next week, I did add fruit other than berries and maybe that's the culprit so I will keep plugging away and see what happens next week weigh-in.
I know I have a stubborn body when it comes to loosing but last time I lost my 44 lbs. it came off much faster as I remember.... maybe this is the punishment I am getting for putting it back on... I WILL NOT DO THAT AGAIN, a promise to myself...my rant for today!....

Watch your salt intake and carb intake. They sure use a lot of water in the body and maybe its just water weight.

Heat can be a factor too. Some people retain fluid when it's hot and humid (like me). I agree with Bianca that salt and carbs affect fluid retention. Keep eating some fruit, especially berries and kiwi for the fibre, vitamin C and potassium but eat tons of low-cal veggies like kale, broccoli and cauliflower. Walking is fantastic exercise and is good for lifting the spirits but it doesn't burn a lot of calories. I walk about an hour every day and that's only 200-250 calories. Frequent walks rather than one long one help keep you revved up I've read.

I have not lost much on the scale this month. But I have lost plenty of inches. Sometimes the body just re organizes itself.

Thank you all for the encouragement ...It feels so good to have a support group like this FS... I will continue to focus and get this weight off no matter what.. 1 yr. 2yr. it doesn't as long as it takes it will GO!
