Day 1 adding back dairy. Who would have guessed that adding back 1or 2 servings of dairy today would have this lab rat so excited! And, ready to get on with this eating experiment. I'll keep you posted as I'm not sure any scientific journals will be publishing my results anytime soon.

Monday should be my weigh in day, but the scale was up 2 lbs, so I'll check it again tomorrow before I record it. While I've stayed the course sugar, dairy & wheat free, I did have 2 dinners out this past weekend & last night's was beyond delicious, I was over-hungry by the time we ate (which was later that I like to) & I ate it until I was fuller than I needed to be. I came home & read an article on mindful eating (sent from an Angel :), which I then realized I had not done, but is something I need to work on. So, Dr Ruth will be working on a new project/experiment to incorporate mindful eating into her lifestyle ASAP!

But, as always, I will start my day praying --

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

So, while I can't change that darn number on the scale today, I can change how I eat to be more mindful.

And, I can pray, breathe, log, post & express again for this one day, meal, moment, bite & emotion at a time. xoxox

Hey Ruth something we all need to do I think! I guess we need more of a life, I'm also excited to see your dairy testing results lol!!

I would probably do the same thing if I went out to eat when I feel that way. At home I weigh it out to what I normally would eat and forget it. If I am still hungry in an hour I go eat a little more. Your food problems are like a suspenseful book too. Gotta keep coming back to see who the culprit is. lol!

Mindful eating is a great way to make these lifelong changes rather than temporary fixes! Good luck with adding back dairy in your diet!
