I have to admit that I cannot seem to summon the mindset to avoid the evening munchies at the moment.

Yesterday everything was going swimmingly and if I'd stopped eating after dinner I'd have come in at just under RDI - fine.

But then I had two large glasses of wine, half a packet of leftover crisps (I don't even like normal crisps), several squares of extra thin 70% dark chocolate and two pieces of tahini baklava :(

Of course I know it's stupid, avoidable, unnecessary - I wasn't hungry, bored, depressed or any of those things. I just put it down to the munchies monster and hope he'll stop visiting soon!

One problem is that there's still stuff in the house from the festive season. One the plus side, there's potential new motivation in the fact that my tickets are booked for my annual trip to the homeland at the end of this month, so I need to focus on that as a goal to get back to goal weight and stay there or under it. We're only talking about a few hundred grams here, not even a kilo, let's not exaggerate, but boy does it make a difference to my clothes, my feeling "thin" or not and my general self-esteem.
