It's funny how my weight history plot looks like. The peaks in weight have been my unhappiness peaks. It's impressive how weight and mood are related... That's of course due to the role and importance of food in our lives.

Yesterday there has been the Xmas party here at work. I did pretty well! There was plenty of sweets and good food. Xmas bread (Stollen), Xmas cookies (Spekulatius), marzipan chocolate and other kinds, tangerines, juices, sandwiches and so on. I am proud of myself, I have eaten only peanuts, some sliced salami, cheese and tomatoes, coffee, water and a very small bit of chocolate. So, only "allowed" food, except for the 5 grams chocolate. Than had a very sweet drink at the Xmas market, I felt it was not good for me. All in all, the day could have been much worse from the sugar point of view, so, it's not too bad.

What else? I had dinner very late, and actually did not even feel like eating. I really don't know why I had dinner, since from the Xmas party I had enough calories. Maybe I just wanted to keep my routine.
Today I feel more hungry. I guess the sugary drink woke up the carb/sugar devil... I will try to stay on track and maybe go swimming this afternoon. I packed my meals for today with plenty of proteins and veggie.

On Sunday I will leave to go back to Italy, to see friends and family. I am a bit worried, since I will have many meals not at home, so I'll have to eat what I find, which is not always good for my poor old guts. I hope not to be too sick. This low sugar diet restored the healthy bacteria in my guts, allowing a better digestion and health; I don't want to destroy what I achieved!

I will stick to have eggs and ham for breakfast, plus some low fat fresh cheese, in order to limit my hunger during day time (in Italy, that's considered a quite immoral breakfast, since people only have a tiny espresso coffee and a couple of cookies, if any).
Then I'll have to get used to the "effective" time difference... I am used to have meals in Germany at 7,30 - 12,30 - 18,45 and in Italy it will be 8,30 - 14,30/15 - 20,45. Waiting so long between meals always make me feel like I am starving, and as a result, I eat more for lunch and dinner.

I had a walk in the snow this morning before coming to work, and it has been amazing! :)
Looking forward for the weekend, it's going to be awesome! :)

Have a good time Fatsecreters! :)

First of all, WELL DONE on the Xmas party! I applaud you on that one (and frankly, what damage is 5g of chocolate if it STAYS 5g?). Going back to Italy, do remember that most people will be understanding if you tell them about your weight loss journey, and most people will accommodate you. Eating dinner out can be a challenge, but not necessarily a bad one. If you know you have a particular meal that might be high on calories, compensate on the others. :)

I hope everything goes smoothly. If you fall off the wagon a little you can always get back on when you get home. Focus on your friends and family. You won't regret it!

Great job at the Christmas party...it is not easy with so many temptations around! I bet when your family sees you and how well you are looking and feeling that you will have their support. It is hard to argue with something when you can SEE that it is working for someone. I hope you have a wonderful trip!
