Thanks for the congratulations on getting engaged!
It was so sweet. Of course. We've been together 8 years and of course we've talked about getting married and I've known he's had the ring for over a year, so I was worried I wouldn't be surprised when he actually asked.
I planned to go home to Charleston to visit my family this past weekend anyway, and Greg suggested we go down for lunch downtown, geocaching (see www.geocaching.com) downtown and at the beach, and then go to dinner with my family. That's just what we did! It was a beautiful day, we had a great time eating lunch at one of our favorite restaurants, walked around downtown, and then ended up at Folly Beach right around sunset to look for another geocache. We were walking along, holding hands, he said "it's been a while since we've been here" and I said "yeah, I guess about 9 years" (He had taken me there on our first date!). He stopped walking and said "would you like to make it 9 more?", then got down on his knee and said "or forever? Alaina, will you marry me?" Of course I said yes!
We're looking at getting married February 9th or 16th in Charleston and doing a 10:00 ceremony with a brunch reception. What do you guys think of these dresses?

I really like the all of them. Most of my favorites are the mermaid/trumpet silhouette.
I have no ideas for color/theme yet, but have been looking at pinterest and blogs.
