Sookers's Journal, 26 July 2012

I still have a bit to go before shedding all of the extra from this weekend. My carb load day didn't keep the numbers as tight as I would have liked, and the following day wasn't great either (though considering I was away from home, it could have been MUCH worse).

This means that the 2 lbs I expected to gain should have come off by now, but the last one is taking its sweet time. I'm ok with that. Its a satisfying feeling to have figured out my body enough to know what to expect when I change things.

Having this knowledge is great news overall. There won't be any more "why did this happen" when I change routines or eat less than desirable food. I will have the ability to really LOOK at every piece of cake and ask myself, "Is this REALLY worth the long term consequences?" That is POWER.

Anyways, some added bonuses that I really didn't expect:

My nails haven't grown like this since I was taking pre-natal vitamins. I FEEL fantastic. My energy levels are great. I've been feeling full and satisfied, and I have no doubt in my ability to continue this lifestyle for the long haul.

I understand what you mean about looking at a piece of cake and saying to myself "is it worth it" I ate out a week ago and have regretted it ever since I have notice how hard it is to get the extra weight to come off again. One day can take a week to get back to normal.
