Keeping a food journal helps a lot! Many of us spend hours a day maintaining data, reviewing objectives, and striving towards goals. Treat yourself like a special project.
1. I use my smart phone to track everything I eat. It takes seconds and there's no pressure/comments from peers about why I'm accountig for intake.
2. Every Monday I download the previous week's intake. I can see where I'm being good versus not so good. My goal is to always burn calories more than I consume. If there comes a day when i cheat, I know that in the long run, I'm burning more than I consume. Mentally that makes a big difference.
3. I feel like I'm in control. I'm finally able to realize that it's easy to make healthy choices.
