Ooh guess I'm more unfit than I had thought. After 25 mins of snow shovelling yesterday, I figured I injured my back. Now I'm thinking I'm just in pain because these back muscles haven't been used for so long. Ugh, the price of being fat!

Let it motivate you to lose, its easier to move the lighter you get! Think of it as a work out, repair your muscles w/ water and stretch out so you don't stiffen up. How cool, we don't know what snow is down here in the desert! :(

That's the GOOD pain... the back to working out pain... I LOVE and relish that pain because it means I'm doing something good for me. Cindy's right... water water water, stretch stretch stretch. And don't just keep the stretching to the workout time frame, never a bad time to stretch. Take 5 min at work to turn your chair and bend over to the floor... stretch out the arms and back, then maybe slow lingering lunges for your legs... keep ya loose, heal the pain faster... Keep going--it'll be SOO worth it, and not just for bikini season!

Thanks guys for the encouragement and great advice. :-) Something tells me this isn't just normal "oh I'm so unfit and my muscles hurt" pain. I think I may have done a bit of damage, so I'm taking it easy now. After 6 months of inactivity, I launched full force into the snow shovelling thinking it would be a great workout but I'd forgotten my body is 35lb heavier than it was last time I exercised and my poor muscles are comatosed, so I think my body didn't know what hit it! A bit too much too soon, methinks. No worries though, once this pain subsides, I'll start exercising more gradually and sensibly... I hope! Zippy, what is this bikini season you speak of?! I've never worn a bikini in my life! LOL
