Tashkat27's Journal, 19 January 2010

Yesterday I tanked on my calories by snacking in the evening. Grapes and cheese and too much of both. :( I also got no exercise at all. I'm feeling pretty down and am noticing that when i am feeling down I have a harder time motivating myself to be active.

Really I just want to crawl into bed and go to sleep. Yesterday at 6:30pm I was ready for bed. This is unusual for me as I have been an insomniac scince I was a small child. Suddenly I find I can go to bed at 7 or 8 and sleep through the night.

Today I woke up and decided I would climb the 9 flights of stairs in my building and am feeling a little better. At lunch I plan to do it again. I am hoping to go for a walk with my fiance tonight.

I think I am feeling bummed that I got on my roomies scale and it said 243 but when I got on the scale at work it was 246. It is still a loss, but after all of the walking I did nin NY I was hoping for a bigger loss.

I think something contributing to my current state of mind is also financial stress. I think I need a wellness day of massage and spa to get me out of my funk....too bad I can't afford one!

Tasha, more exercise will help you achieve your goals. Stick with it don't get bummed there are always highs and lows in a diet program. Part of it is mental.... I am on a diet I can't eat anything I want .... but you can as long as it is in smaller doses. You are doing great I am very proud of you.

I encourage you & applaud you for your achievement thus far. I have been on this journey roughly around the same time as you have, and on average, you are losing 1 more pound than I am every month. I know how hard I am pushing & how exhausting it feels sometimes, so I know you are feeling it too coz you have better results. The key is to not stop, ever. Wish you all the best. This journey rewards you a lifetime of benefits. All the best.
