Fasting this morning for blood work. I can't go until lunchtime, but it isn't anything I can't handle. I just don't like the idea that the more I do to try to become healthy, the more that I find wrong with me. The first time I started at the gym, I found out the big issue with my foot. That required surgery. That was 4 years ago. I didn't do anything for a while, then got to a point in my life that I was my heaviest. I started a weight loss program at my hospital, and from there I started losing weight. Well, now I am still losing after two years and I find that the more I lose, all the broken pieces are being released from their hiding spot. This isn't fun at all. But it's a catch 22. I'm damned if I do, I'm damned if I don't. So, I just keep going, no matter what. I will find a way to beat it all. Have a great day everyone.

The pieces that are broken and are coming to light would still be broken but not getting fixed if you hadn't found them. They'd probably not only stay broken but be getting worse without you knowing it. It may be playing catch-up for a while but eventually, it'll even out and the healthy things you're doing will help support your new healthy body and lifestyle. You got this JD :) Keep going!

I am thinking those pieces surfacing have been a life saver of sorts. Hard though to have the stress of change and the added stress of medical problems, sounds a bit overwhelming for you. Find a soft spot somewhere to land and take a breather...do you have a favorite place to go that seems restful for its energy? Or a friend you could connect with that is a good listener? Take care, find your balance.

Thanks guys. The words are encouraging. And yes, I know that the hidden problems would still be hidden if I wasn't going through this. I can only hope that everything can be fixed. That is what worries me the most. But I have confidence that my docs can fix it. Just have to figure out what is wrong. I hope that the three vials of blood today and the other specimen that was taken will give them a better picture.

I've been getting dizzy/light headed a lot. It would normally happen when getting up from a laying or sitting position. Now it is happening more frequently. I will be sitting down and the dizzy spell comes. Sometimes I get so lightheaded/dizzy I feel like I'm going to pass out. I know that a drop in blood pressure will do this, and I used to have it happen occasionally, like once or twice a month at most. Now it is happening multiple times a day and it is getting very frustrating. It happens at work, at home, but thankfully not while I am driving. My headaches have been more frequent as well. It just plain isn't fun.

Sounds like Low blood pressure to me. How fast is your heart beating? I get the EXACT same symptoms when my sodium go's too low. So now I add salt to my water. Do this, try adding a teaspoon of salt to a 1 liter bottle of water and drink it over an hour or two. I bet the dizziness go's away and your heart rate slows down. How low have you cut your salt? I would be willing to bet your blood work comes back saying that your Electrolyte levels are Low normal. Which means VERY low in reality. For the most part, the medical industry are a bunch of idiots that regurgitate the same nonsense that their idiot teachers spewed at them. Just so you know brother, you need MINIMUM of 1.5 teaspoons of Salt a day. Up to as much as 3.5 teaspoons depending on how much you sweat and pee.

My sodium intake usually is pretty good. The doctor was talking about adding a little more salt to my diet as well, but he wanted to do a couple of tests first to see what is up. I don't normally check my heart rate during the day, but I watch it while I exercise. It seems to be in a good range while I am being intense with the workout and then it goes down pretty quick when I hit my cool down period. I will have to keep watch of my heart rate while I am resting I guess too.

Try it man. Just add a Teaspoon to a big glass of water and I bet the dizzy spells go away. also remember to breath. Seriously you would be surprised how many time you make yourself dizzy from not breathing.
