evalynnjade's Journal, 01 November 2011

I had misgivings about this site, I've been using SparkPeople, which IS a great site btw. The only thing I didn't like about SP is that it rounds up or down. I heard so much about this site on the Atkin's forums I decided to come over and am sooo glad I did. I found out from their forums that this site gets its veggie info from the USDA site, the one that I have been painstakingly looking up every individual veggie then having to enter it into my little journal and then again into SP, just so I could be sure my percentages were close. Which as I said rounded up or down and it really irked me a lil.

Anyhow I'm glad to be here now and it is sooo nice to be able to preplan my meals without having to do it on one site and then flip to USDA site and look up everything individually to find out the exact values. I am a carb counter (did the Atkin's site give it away?) so the little carbs are important and I was just spending SOOO much time everyday looking up all the veggies.

I need to start working out. I was doing pretty good with walking, but then I stopped (I was up to over 3miles per day). Now it is getting cold outside and I think I am going to join the local gym. Our local is VERY small. 3 treadmills and 2 elliptical (in my thinner days I really used to rock out on those).
