After losing 30 pounds, I feel that my body is resisting further weight loss. I have tweaked my diet here and there, but still have lost that 'good' feel in the morning that I am a bit lighter than I was the day before. I am at a weight that I have not been at for several years, so I know I"m in for a fight. Who will win? My body's pre-set notion of where it is 'comfortable', or my determination to get down to a 'normal' weight???

Some days I think my body is going to win but I am still eating low carb. Must exercise more - I have been so busy at work and with other meetings and obligations that I just cannot seem to get it in. Going to do a 20 minute exercise DVD this morning before I go to work.....that should help rid me of this glum feeling that I am stuck!

Still struggling with bloating - I reduced my grain/fiber products at an attempt to get the weight loss going again but perhaps that was not a good idea. Eating lots of veggies but feel bloated. Hmmm.

Going out of town for the weekend; will weigh in when I get back on Monday morning. I just need to take stock of the progress I have made thus far and be joyful about it.

Hang in there. You have come so far. You are already winning you just can't see it right now. DON'T GIVE UP! Once you move past this plateau I'm sure you will be golden. I would recommend that on days you just can't fit a work out in or when you are out of town you make sure to have a jump rope with you. You'd be surprised what 5 minutes of jump rope can do for you. Then you can squeeze in 50 sit ups and 25 push ups (they don't have to be perfect, do what you can). All that can be done within 10 minutes. That little bit will have you start your day with more energy and a smile. It may even motivate you to get in a full work out later in the day. Give it a try.

You're doing great. I can't stand when I plateau. It's at those times that I have to dig deep and keep going. So don't give up and add whatever you can to your day that makes you feel like you've done something healthy for yourself and remind yourself that this plateau is temporary.

30# is indeed something to be joyful about. I'm rocking between 26 & 27.5. Getting close! Started mid June. Maybe your body just needs a chance to "rest a bit." I've started back to the gym, 3 days a week, walking treadmill 30 mins., slowly, as knees are "worn out"per dr. Husband has retired so we have time to go together and he keeps me on track. Enjoy your weekend out of town and keep on, keeping on.

31 pounds is fantastic! It looks like you lost 6 pounds in July, 7 in August, and 5-6 in September. That's dropping at a very, very nice clip. These last 20 pounds COULD be a bit slower to drop as you approach your goal. I see a couple places you could tweak, if you wanted, but you've stayed at 186 for just 2 weeks (assuming that's where you are now), so you might just want to wait this out another week or so. If you're looking to tweak, however, the first thing I'd do is drop the Atkins bars for a week or two and see if that doesn't re-start your losses. Have an enjoyable, relaxing weekend!

Thanks friends for the encouragement and suggestions. Very helpful and appreciated. It was good to get away and refocus my energies. I'm ready to hit this full force again! Blessings.....
