I HATE Splenda! Why do so many "healthful" recipes use the horrible, toxic stuff?!! Calling a recipe nutritious/ healthy when it has Splenda (or sucralose, saccharin, or aspartame, etc.,) as an ingredient is about as inappropriate as hiring a blind traffic controller. Bah! I wish this site had a way for you to specifically search for recipes without it. :-/ ... ok rant is over. :(

You can always substitute it out for something else. All I do is take the recipe I want.. right it down and enter it into my own cook book as just mine so I can edit it or w/e from time to time when need be.

What is w/e? Other than that your idea is good. I guess my frustration is somewhat due to laziness and disappointment. I'll see a inviting recipe that sounds good and I'll see the calorie count is low and get excited-something new and potentially awesome to add to my repertoire- but than I see the submitter has used a non nutritive sweetener. I simply can't make a comparably low recipe with real ingredients because, unlike non nutritive sweeteners, real ingredients have calories. I was feeling particularly annoyed when I wrote that yesterday. It's not something really worthy of so much energy. I guess I just wish people knew and understood how that stuff is not good and shouldn't be used in food.
