And the drama continues....today at 6 am the surgery center at UCSD called to find out where I was! They said I was supposed to arrive at 5 for preop...They knew nothing about the cancellation and acted like they knew nothing about the OR room being down. She wanted to know when it was cancelled and exactly what reason they gave me. What the heck is going on?!?! I'm beyond frustrated and confused!

They have schedulers that are not part of the surgical team most likely. And no one thought to notify them that surgery was down. Think of it like a delivery man whose truck breaks down before the era of cell phones. You were expecting him but had no way of knowing truck broke down. Someone dropped the ball at ucsd.

Diana, I don't blame you one bit! I would be as well. This certainly does little to instill confidence. This is why I focus on God and not humans.

0.o ridiculous. I know that it's not their fault, but I don't blame you for feeling stressed and a bit angry 😡 at this point... nobody like being jerked around. I hope this can be resolved soon and hopefully without anymore hiccups.

UPDATE: Still not sure what mix up with scheduling was, I think the left hand didn't know what the right hand was doing...I did speak to Dr that is actually doing the lead extraction. She was beyond frustrated herself. She kept apologizing and got how frustrating it was. She told me it was actually a computer glitch that was causing all the havoc. The robotics/ laser machine is affected as well as room can't be pressurized as it's done thru a computer program. The imaging won't work correctly etc. Anyway..the waiting game still on...

Oh my goodness! Hopefully no more issues to stress you out before your surgery. I can imagine how frustrating it is.

It is not uncommon to get lost on in the system; I have had practitioners working with incorrect charts on my health history // very frustrating having to reinvent the wheel
