Feeling *mostly* good about my "performance" at the BBQ today. Recording my food was a little difficult since I didn't know absolutely every ingredient, but I tried to be as accurate as possible. I did splurge a little and had some homemade gelato. C'mon, HOMEMADE GELATO! Seriously, who can possibly say no to that? There was a brownie with it, but thankfully Justin and I shared and he got the majority. It was tasty treat. Chicken and salad for dinner, perfect! I also only had TWO cocktails (vodka limeade, so delicious and refreshing!) and otherwise stuck to Diet Coke. Didn't exercise much today, though. Spent the morning doing homework, went to the salon for a hair appointment, back home to finish the homework, then off to the BBQ and didn't get home until close to midnight. Have lots of house and yard work to do tomorrow, that usually makes for a pretty good work out!

Anywho, these are the kind of situations I worried about the most. Can I keep my drinking under control? Can I not constantly snack on all the delicious foods surrounding me? And the answer is YES, I CAN! Yes, I did splurge a little on the gelato and brownie, but it was a very small portion of each and I haven't eaten anything like that in weeks (and it will probably be a long time before I do again). My biggest vice is drinking. I am a social drinker and I can seriously put booze away. I really impressed myself today. When others were refilling their cocktails or grabbing another beer I held back. I can honestly say it has been YEARS since I have been able to do that. It's just good to know that I can ;)
