kadinelouise's Journal, 27 July 2009

I was awful this week. I didn't keep track of what I ate. I ate poorly. I didn't have too much control over what I ate, but I still should have had smaller portions and exercised more this week. I really need to get back on track. All those pounds I lost are back. I'm upset with myself. I need to get things together. August is going to be a clean slate for me. I'm going to eat well. I'm going to exercise. I'm going to put some money into savings and keep it there. I need to do this!
229.8 lb Lost so far: 1.2 lb.    Still to go: 49.8 lb.    Diet followed poorly.

Can I make a suggestion??? Get a tablet, make a to do list putting your priorities first. Make it doable and break it down, such as, I will write down every morsel that goes into my mouth today, I will eat 3-5 serving of veggies today, I will drink 8 glasses of water today, I am going to put x amount of money in the bank when I get paid and leave it there so it can grow, and I am giving up ________ (fill in the blanks) so that becomes a reality, I am going to do x amount of exercise a day, and so on. I find writing things down make them more "real", makes me so much more accountable. Make your list and leave room for about one weeks or one months worth of check marks after your to do's with the dates listed so you can check off each day as you go. Keep it out so you can see it all the time. Maybe this will help, maybe not but I hope so. Good luck and I know you can get back on track because you want to and you know you need to. ((hugs))

I totally agree with Wecandothis. Organization is the key to success. I made a "dream board" when I first started out on this journey. I keep it on a wall next to my computer which is where I used to spend a great deal of time at home. I put pictures of my "skinny" self as well as pictures of clothing I want to fit into and people that inspire me along with inspirational phrases. Now every time I sit down at my computer I am inspired to get back up and do something active. Remember, this is a lifestyle change you want to make so you've got to reprogram your brain to make the better choices. You can do it and I know you can stick to it. It does sound like you have a lot (maybe too much) going on in your life, so you are going to need to carefully choose your priorities in order to succeed at anything. Hugs to you - Carrie

dillionwolf, I love your suggestion on kadinelouise's journal. Dream board, vision board, whatever people call them, that is such an excellent idea and I plan on doing that this week. That is something I have thought of and you just nudged me. Thanks. :-)

Thank you ladies. I will do everything I can to make this work! I think I will make my dream board on Wednesday. And I'm all about making lists, so I can definitely do that! <3 for both of you! - Kadine
