I do think for us over 50 the waist is a favorite spot. I am amazed how close some of our measurements are! My last one was 10-28-22 Weight 129.4, Waist 31"(I have been trying for 30"!!) RT -20" LT 19 1/2", RB-10 1/2", Hips - 35 1/4". My weight today is 133.4 so I need to get motivated with you!

liv, Yes!! Everything goes to hips and waist for sure!! Redporchlady, Wow! We are super close in measurements! I think you are much stronger than me though. It is great to have camaraderie with others who are like minded! I was going to take pump class today but woke up dragging so I decided to stay home..I have one more cookie to make (Kisses blossom cookies) I'm making 3 batches which is 60-64 cookies. I'll do pump class tomorrow...

Diana you could beat me in a race because I do feel like with only doing strength training and only 10 minutes of cardio after my strength training that I don't have the stamina you have with all the things you are doing. I am ok with that because that is why I got out of shape because I hate exercise but for some reason, I love weightlifting so I am so thankful to have found something I enjoy doing. I love all the baking but I was bad again yesterday and got into some of the goodies. My four year old grandson was over and he loves looking in the refrigerator to see what I have and he asked about something and of course he gets what he wants! LOL Uggh - I just need to get thru the holidays. I don't have the self control that some have. That is why I need to read everyone's posts. Maybe I should add some kettlebell swings this weekend at home this weekend. If you get your pump class in I will commit to kettlebell swings!!

This is why I always say that weight isn’t everything. My waist and hip measurements are 29 and 36. very similar to both of you lovely ladies yet my weight is 170. also I might have you on the chest because I am well endowed in that department with a 36D 😜. Again Diana you got this. It’s a long term nutrition plan and not a short fad diet 👍👏

Thanks everyone for your input and support! I'm frustrated but it will pass and I do know what I need to do so I'll do it. I'm usually uber focused which is why I'm so frustrated at myself. SK, you are right about my nutritionist but those were my words, not hers. She was actually extremely supportive and has been texting me with supportive words and ideas for me to get back on track. Golfmarina, I am a bit busty myself. You carry your weight well! Curves in all the right places. I am ready to be serious and get back to the gym like before. Redporch, I am going to pump class tomorrow!!!💜💜💪💪

If you were eating low carb Diana, then ate a bunch of carbs, you could just be experiencing a little bloat from the excess water carbs bring with them. You will be back to your old measurements in no time. By the way, if I smell high calorie food I gain weight in my waist area! 😂

Kenny, thanks and lol!.Those cookies do seem to be calling my name! I do usually eat somewhat low carbn(around 75-85 grams) so it is definitely affecting my puffy waist!

This is a tough time of year. Would you consider opting for maintenance in order to get through the holidays? Hang in there

Kenna, I'm just trying to figure out what to do. Maintenance might be a good option. Thanks!💜

Yep, that's me as well. 172lbs-168lbs was 1" waist and 1.5" hips. It's only a few pounds though. You are still doing really well during this holiday season!

Unhealthydaddy, Thanks! I know part of it is the season and part is I'm having such a hard time with the effects of that flu I had..went to bodypump today and was breathing extra heavy, even though I lifted lighter. Take care and we'll all get through this together. I really appreciate your support!👍💪
