I would recommend a 16:8 fast as the 5:2 is pretty hard for the two days you eat 500 cals. The 16:8 is much more flexible as you can eat your normal calories but just within a certain time frame (8 hour eating window, 16 hours fasting normally done after dinner and while you’re sleeping). I’ve got Fastic which keeps track of my fasts and it’s really helped stopped my binges x

Thank u, bingeing is my biggest problem, coupled with secret eating which I have now got that bit under control, I really don't no why I do it I have no issues, I'm happy iv never gone "hungry" because of situations. I do have an addictive nature which has been an issue in the past but for 20yrs iv been sober, iv been stopped smoking for 14yrs, but food is an everyday thing I can't do without but can't get under control either xx

I have one advice, in dieting you need to choose what would suit you. If you want to commit. If you like me and can’t deal with hunger. I recommend to stick with 5 meals in day. But if it’s ok for you, you can fasting 8 eating and 16 hours fasting. But don’t forget to keep yourself hydrate.

Oh GOd that’s me too. Starve, starve, binge. My head keeps saying you don’t need this, you’ll regret it! And my mouth goes mmmm more please 🤦‍♀️. But I JUST KEEP TRYING. I find fasting from 8-10am works for me and longer on the days when I can. Other people don’t get it though - sick of hearing but you MUST have breakfast. No I don’t and I feel better for it! We’re with you 👭

I fast, but its not a fixed window for me, I don't eat after lunch, which I like to have before 2pm. I do eat a hearty breakfast and lunch and never feel hungry, just a bit peckish come the morning. I find that not doing a rigid timescale helps me mentally, I don't feel that I am being stopped, I am full so do not need to eat beyond lunchtime.

Fasting itself doesn't lose weight, there's no magic window where you can or can't eat. But it can help reduce what you eat. I wouldn't recommend it with any binge tendencies though.
