Yes you can! How did you decide on 1700 cals a day ? Did you work out your basal metabolic rate? Xxx

I think it changes based on your activity level and whether you want to go fast or slow with weight loss. It’s a good starting point but I picked a number I could achieve most of the time rather than an impossibly small target I would never reach. Good luck Heather 😊

Without knowing your goals or current body composition it’s hard for me to say, I would check online just Google BMR calculator fill it in and it will tell you how many cals your burning daily then for weight loss subtract 200 - 300 cals from your BMR , there is no need to have a very low calorie diet , just as long as your burning more than your eating you will loose weight 💜 you are also absolutely right you can save up your cals to indulge on other days xxx

I have found The Fitness Chef's book interesting. He views it as a weekly total rather than daily. He also has a calculator on his website. I really need to re-read.

I do the same as ur friend! usually try to save some for a glass of wine on a fri night. also my macros can be up and down all week but I make sure they come for the week so I'm guessing that's ok

Calories in v calories out so saving and eating more one treat day is is fine BUT be aware you will put on weight for a couple of days e.g. weight of food and water retention but that will go away in a couple of days
