Happy Sunday Everyone!
Weigh in day for me and I barely moved that needle to the 1 lb mark! Happy for the loss but disappointed that I didn't hit my personal goal which was to be at 220 by Fri when I leave for Chicago, yes I still have time but as slow as this is going no way I will lose 8 lbs in 5 days. :( Plus those 3 days of being out of town and away from the security of my own kitchen and my prepared meals will certainly be a struggle to not come home without a gain. Shoot it hasn't even happened yet and look where my negative Nelly mind goes! LOL
I will do my best but with a wedding ahead, a cocktail party, and a home opener Cubs game it looks to be a very challenging couple of days! I get back on the 7th and then have exactly one week to get rid of any gain before I go into the hospital for my knee replacement! I have no idea how that will effect my weight loss, but it is what it is and only time will tell. The only really good thing about this surgery is I will finally have two good knees and I will finally be able to get in exercise without terrible pain! Maybe that will be the dynamic that will change everything for me. Well the sun is shining and it looks to be a beautiful day so maybe some time outside will be just what I need! YOU are rocking this!! Your 3 days out of town, are u in Hotel or home?? I know u will do your very best.. u have come too far not too. If your eating out, just ask lots of questions..No negative nelly!! Oh to have a knee that doesn't hurt every step u take, how awesome that will be. I have arthritis in my knee.. soo no surgery, just suck it up.. nice hey lol. Have a great day friend!!

Hey Barb, Thanks for the Cudo's! Made my day. Yep we are staying in a hotel, not so worried about that since I know what to order and how to get it right, so no concerns with that. They do have a pool so I am hoping I will have some time to get in and do some laps, which will definitely make me feel better. My biggest concern will be alcohol (yes I am going to!) And maybe the wedding cake! Cubs game will be another challenge, so many carbs as far as the food at a ball game, but I will figure it out. It will be awhile before I have no knee pain but I am definitely looking forward to it! Enjoy your day!

I will wave at you from the border (only an hour from Chicago)! Hang in there, you can do this! Bring your own snacks and blame it on getting ready for surgery! Have a great time, too.

I am in the same boat. Only lost 0.5 lbs. this week and I am going away for three days to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. I know this is a "lifestyle change" and special events are part of life, but I wanted to get under 180 before my anniversary, lol. I do plan to weigh in a day early, so maybe I can still pull it out. Your knee surgery is a GREAT dynamic change! I can't wait to hear how you are feeling 4 weeks post-op, when you have been exercising with much less pain!

Well congrats on that anniversary milestone! How awesome! Yes I agree about the lifestyle change, wouldn't it be awesome if we could start a change and have nothing get in the way to impede our progress? Oh well it will just take a while longer I guess, I've got nothing but time! Enjoy your getaway and that special anniversary!
