Fritzy 22's Journal, 24 February 2021

Monday is my weigh in day for the month of February. Plan was to weigh once a month, but I did post a weight half way through the month because I just needed an idea of how things were going. Goal is 5 to 7 pounds a month. I think I might achieve 5, but doubt it will be more.

Not doing as good as I hoped on the low fat plan. For the past week I've been way over 20 grams of fat a day. Yesterday, just a half a grilled cheese sandwich put me over I think. Any butter or oil and the fat grams add up. I am making an appointment with a surgeon about having my gallbladder removed. I had hoped to avoid it by eat a very low fat diet. But don't think that even matters since almost anything can set off the pain.

Diet Calendar Entry for 24 February 2021:

Hang in there Fritzy. ❤ Hope you get a date for surgery soon and you can get back to a healthy diet without having to deal with pain. 👍

Haven't called the surgeon yet. I've been busy trying to unclutter my house, getting ready to put it up for sale. Spent the morning in the garage packing up boxes. Posted free items on Nextdoor and got rid of my treadmill and someone is coming to pick up a dresser soon. I'll try to remember to make that appointment. I forget about it until I have a gallbladder attack.

That’s pretty significant news you slid in there. When are you moving?

Didn’t you just move into your house a year or so ago. Where to now?

5 lbs is so great. Hope the moving goes great. Are you moving far?

Katsolo - I've been thinking about moving to the Mendocino coast in Northern California for a couple years at least. Hoped I could manage a 2nd home there but it would mean using too much of my IRA. So I need to sell my current home. It's the fire danger where I live that is really motivating mean. Ever since being evacuated due to a fire near me 3 years ago I just hate been here during the summer months. Thanks Diana! Kattay - I hate moving - at least the process. I have accumulated so much stuff and am just gradually trying to unclutter my house and have started packing up stuff I don't have to use right now. Kenna - I moved here in the fall of 2011, so I"ve been here over 9 years. Wish I could figure out a way to get a smaller place here for half the year and a 2nd home on the coast for the other half. Thanks Liv. Don't know if I'll make the 5 pounds. I may do a 48 or 72 hour fast to complete February and make my goal! It's a 4 hour drive to Mendocino if I am able to find something in that area. I hope to take a week and drive up the Northern California and Oregon coast for other possibilities. I have kept in contact with realtors in 3 coastal areas over the past 2 or 3 years. I think my house might sell fast and worry I won't be able to find somewhere to move. I really like my house, but it's much bigger than I need and I can't keep up with almost a half acre yard.

Sure hope a solution comes through for you. It's never a good situation to not feel safe or comfortable in your home or area. Isn't it wonderful to have options? Good luck and please keep us updated. I still think you should call for that surgery. That's meant to be an encouragement or gentle caring nudge. 💕🙃
