OK, today is DAY #1 of the 24 day Advocare program. I'm going to keep it fresh and clean and try to lean to lowcarb, but it allows other foods which is good for me. I need to learn how to FUEL my body for the rest of my life NOT just DIET. That is not going to be a word in my vocabulary any more.
I did weigh myself this morning, but I also am not going to weigh everyday like I use to. I will try to curb it to once a week or longer. Also I will measure tomorrow morning and take a photo. I have a wonderful support group of 2 wonderful ladies locally. Donna & Valerie so that will help me a lot. I love the support system here also and will check in daily or at least every other day. The first 10 days are a cleanse. There seems to be enough food to keep me satisfied, broken up into 3 meals & 2 snacks eaten every 3 or so hours. I think I can live with this. It is teaching me portion control which is important to me as I have been an obsessive, compulsive, emotional eater. Knowing that doesn't make it easier to control. It is an addiction and I know this will help me get that addiction under control rather than allowing IT to control me. The other exciting thing that I've seen was a recent Dr Oz show where he talked about eating clean and portion control. I don't like to measure and weigh so it is good to have any tips that will help me keep the portions in my mind. He showed that a serving of protein should be the size of your palm, vegies are like 2 fists sizes, fat is the length of your thumb and carbs one fist (I think, I'll have double check that). It is going to be an exciting time and I know I will be ok and will do this for me.
170.8 lb Lost so far: 1.2 lb.    Still to go: 32.8 lb.    Diet followed N/A.
