I am a bit annoyed that they stopped doing those with covid. Hope they start up soon again

Fantastic!! I’ve gotten several. Never fun, but necessary! ❤️ My daughter is doing her Summer work term from home since May, but hoping her lab reopens early July. The more I learn from her research, the more I realize how important this is!! My best to you Diana. 💕🙏

@wifey n Erq, yep, just gotta bite the bullet and do it...never fun.. hopefully not to tmi but I felt like it's a reminder for women to take care of their bodies etc. even during this strange and uncharted time.. @liv, my annual appt was in March but of course that's when quarantine happened so in May Dr office called and said to come in. I did and now it's done till next year.👍💗

I think they may be doing prebooked ones here as well and will start booking new ones when those are taken care of. I will keep an eye on it and get an appointment when it opens up

I’m a 8 year Survivor of breast cancer🎉

@mountainman glad your mom had a great Dr and was able to beat it💜 @blueyes I'm glad you are a survivor and were able to beat the cancer! 💜Breast cancer runs very high on maternal side. My mom, sister and grandmother and 2 aunt's have all had breast cancer. I am diligent about getting a mammogram every year. 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗

I've been called back for the 4th time this year... 🙄 I keep hoping... They can't seem to make up their minds... I suspect I will be getting the needle next. I'm trying not to be scared.

Diana1234– with your multigenerational history has no one suggested an MRI? I’m a little out of the loop on that subject but you might ask about it.

@ kenna, I can't have a MRI as I have a pacemaker. They did do an ultrasound in addition to a mammogram.💗

I appreciate your intentions to do the right thing, but I hope you've taken time to be fully informed about the risks of mammography as well as other screening procedures such as colonoscopies. I almost never hear people mention risks, and I'm not sure what doctors say, but there are always two sides to consider. Just a few links...and hopefully I won't spark a controversy! :) I've read a lot about this in the past and I wouldn't have a biopsy either. My understanding is that a tumor should not be either smashed or punctured for fear of spreading cancer cells from it. You don't know if you have a tumor till after they smash your breast, and also the cumulative effect of the radiation if you follow the recommended guidelines could actually cause cancer. That's the summary version. I would do thermography if I felt the need to be screened. I guess I should add a disclaimer that this is just my opinion after a lot of reading over many years. :) https://www.turnermedicalarts.com/mammograms-the-biggest-scam-perpetrated-on-women-in-medical-history/ https://www.healthaffairs.org/doi/full/10.1377/hlthaff.2010.0455 https://www.washingtonpost.com/national/health-science/im-just-saying-no-to-mammography-why-the-numbers-are-in-my-favor/2013/10/07/733c0894-29e1-11e3-8ade-a1f23cda135e_story.html https://www.nytimes.com/2014/02/15/opinion/why-i-never-got-a-mammogram.html https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4582264/ https://www.bmj.com/content/346/bmj.f385 https://realtactics4disabilityclaims.com/bullied-refusing-mammogram/

DianaBanana—Thermography May have a place as an adjunct for diagnosis but it is in no way a replacement for mammography or colonoscopy or for any other cancerous condition. It is not a stand alone imaging procedure. Please go back and review the literature on this. Early detection is key to survival for any cancerous condition. Mammography, ultrasound, MRI are still the gold standard.

DianaBanana, if not for screening procedures I would be dead now. I suggest everyone here follow their doctor's recommendations.

Good job caring for yourself Diana 👍🏻

@DianaBanana, appreciate your comments and we all have to do what's right for our own bodies. Because breast cancer is so high in my maternal side of family and in immediate family, I felt the risk was minimal compared to the risk of having cancer. Early detection is imperative! @shirfluer, glad you were able to take care of your breast issues! 💜 @rosio, thank u, it's part of being a healthier me!💜
