Kenna Morton's Journal, 05 June 2020

I attended a Zoom conference on the role of nutritional therapy in psychiatric medicine. Once again, we are what we eat. I wish more people would just understand this concept.

I’ve been reading about this a lot - how processed food can destroy the microbiome in the gut and contribute to things like depression. It’s absolutely fascinating. Would love it if you shared some of your findings.

New name— there are only two organs in the body that actually communicate with each other—- the gut and the brain

I'm a big believer in letting your food be your medicine.

Yes! it is all connected. I would add the "soul, the well-being" as well :) I adhere to the expressions, "don’t eat anything with more than five ingredients, or ingredients you can't pronounce" or “Don't eat anything your great grandmother wouldn't recognize as food. ": it means the producer took out the healthy ingredients and put in bad ones for preservation. There are much better and healthier preservation methods!
