Yesterday, after my workout with my brother, I took him to the store and showed him how to do a meal prep. Many don't know, but my brother is on a weight loss journey of his own I'm helping him with 🤗💗. So, he has proportion issues, lack of self-control, and a HUGE love for carbs, so this was a compromise.

2 Dishes: Medium steaks with fondue cheese and broccoli and cheese.
2 Dishes: Cauliflower with mixed veg and a wee bit of the cheese and steak.
2 Dishes: 45 calorie bread with turkey or ham (50 cal) 2 eggs and 1 thin oreo.
2 Dishes: Broccoli and cheese with riced cauliflower, fried hamburger, Mediterranean spice.
2 Dishes: English muffin, hard boiled egg, and hamburger with 1/2 cup egg whites and 1 egg. Lightly salted and peppered.

This is his lunches and dinners for the week. 🤗💗👍 So far so good. I told him that he can have anything he wants... in moderation. He's 6'4 and 400 pounds. We are both hoping that he loses about 80 to 100 pounds this year, but I'd be happy for 30.🥴💕

I always WANT to do this but then I get fickle on what I want to eat for the day. I'm so impressed by meal preppers.

@bella, me too! If i prep full meals like that, like that, inevitably i am not in the mood to eat them. It was helpful when i figured this out about me, lol. So i try to have a variety of "mix and match" options available to grab -- homemade stews and soups portioned in freezer, big green salad and cut/prepped in fridge, wraps, sandwich fillings (tuna, chicken, hummus, guacamole, frozen veggie burgers and fake chicken patties), yogurt, nuts, single portions of cheese, etc. So i can usually put together a plate in a few minutes and i can guesstimate the calories pretty easily. I am really a grazer.

The only help you can give is to set a good example and encourage! Meal prep can start healthy habits. It’s a great start!!! Great job!

Aamaddux....It is possible he may lose motivation from time to time. Maybe try a weekly weigh over text for the both of you. Like a Friday morning before the weekend when many eat more. Incorporate a few new goals at a time and allow time to practice those few new habits. This may mean having a few periods at maintenance before trying to lose again with a new set of goals.
