redwinelover's Journal, 28 August 2010

Busy couple of days there...I even forgot to record a journal entry for yesterday. So I DID workout - the Insanity Core Cardio and Balance workout for Recovery Week. It was Day 29. So...I'm a bit hungover...but am hoping the headache lifts and i do Day 30 today. We had a small little celebration last night - some of my son's friends came over and I ended up hanging out with them til about midnight. And hadn't made any dinner, so I ended up mindlessly drinking an entire bottle of wine. Between my weight loss and no food in my stomach...NOT a good idea. But just for "fun", I jumped on the scale this morning. BECAUSE...I did the Klannoye diet last night - imbibe a bit TOO much, then get rid of it all. On accident, if my meaning is clear... NOT FUN... But anyway, turns out I "lost" three pounds last night! LOL... Which, I know, is just being dehydrated, but it was nice to see a low number on that scale like that. So although I'm NOT going to record it (even though my water percentage was 53%, but probably not accurate as you're supposed to be up for a couple of hours before measuring water and fat percentages) my scale said.....drum roll please....132! So, I just may not get on the scale for a few days in the hopes the klannoye diet kicked my metabolism into gear. Which would mean, by the way, that I'd have to COMPLETELY re-think my whole weight loss strategy! LOL... Okay, I AM kidding. Don't want to end up skinny, but an alcoholic! ahahahaha... Yesterday I didn't record calories, I could probably figure it out, but don't know how accurate it might be considering how the evening ended! So I didn't record any exercise, either, but yesterday I burned 2644 calories. I'm sure I didn't take in that much and certainly didn't keep that much in. Probably less than 1300 calories, tho.

Plans for today...well, work out if my head finds my body. And maybe finally go to the Wildflower Baking Company for late lunch or early dinner. I loved that place when I'd gone in Sedona, and I had one of the best salads I've ever had - all fresh greens and some sunflower seeds and some lavendar flowers in it, and some delicious but light dressing. It was awesome and I found out there's one just a couple of miles from my home! So that's probably the "big" plans for the day. My brother is coming out next weekend and we'll celebrate then. For now...I'll bask in the glory of the 132 - fake number or not! :)

Ugh...guess I need to update my bio now that I'm another year older. Damn this time march! Beats the alternative, though and at least I'm getting more healthy as time goes by.

...later... well I did actually work out, in spite of the ongoing headache. But haven't done much else today. We had one really strong storm earlier which probably caused some damage somewhere near by. My daughter barely missed being hit by a falling tree limb in the road driving home! My husband was watching the storm from the front door and watched as a limb broke off the tree across the street from us, too. And there were a number of sirens during and right after this...I wouldn't have wanted to be on the road for that one.

So we didn't go out to celebrate my birthday today. Just want to be able to enjoy the food and today wasn't the day for it. We're planning on going tomorrow, though, and both kids want to go, as well. That will be nice...haven't been out together in a long time.

Sorry about the unexpected diet but glad you saw a weight loss...Enjoy your meal at the Wildflower Baking Company. I still can't get all the way through my DVDs but I made it through 29 minutes of Jillian this morning and really enjoyed it during and after the workout. I know I can build up to doing the whole thing. I just have to believe in myself. Tomorrow is weigh in day after two weeks of no official weights...

Andrea, that's AMAZING to get through nearly half an hour with Jillian. You've come so far already! It'll seriously get easier to do with more time. I'm proud of you! Good luck on your weigh in tomorrow!

Hi RWL - hey, I would have recorded that 132, what the heck, that's what the scale said, after all. Belated birthday wished to your son. Hope you enjoyed your lunch/dinner at the Wildflower Baking Co. Never heard of that name, so don't think they are in Florida. Enjoy your weekend and hope that number STAYS down. :-)

Thanks, NN :) I'll pass on your wishes to my son, but the "celebration" for today is actually for my birthday. But...still headache-y and decided to go tomorrow. Aug. is a busy month around here - classes start, daughter's birthday, followed by our anniversary, then son's birthday and then mine. I'm tempted to record that number, now! :) Sure felt good to see it on the scale... The restaurant is only in AZ and CA that I know of, but not sure. Just really tasty food, a lot of healthy choices available and really inexpensive, too. Thanks, and I hope the number STAYS down, too (though I highly doubt it :) But it's definitely shades of things to come...
