So is it REMOTELY possible that dry-brushing can cause dizziness?? I did it yesterday according to the instruction book I bought, and third time altogether. Felt wonderful. I've doubted the claims that it can affect the lymphatic system, but makes me wonder if this is the cause of my extreme dizziness this morning. Woke up practically reeling, like I was drunk or in a state of deep sleep still, but it's still with me. Getting better, though. And IF the dry brushing did happen to cause it, I wouldn't necessarily think that was bad. It could even mean that my body is ridding itself of built up toxins. This is ALL supposition, of course! Who KNOWS what the body does and why?! It's just strange for me. My husband has been dealing with it off and on for about a year, I think. I haven't had any kind of inner ear infection, really haven't even been in the pool much with all the problems we've had with it this year. I've wondered if his was due to various supplements and have stopped some of those. I've recently been more diligent with the glucosamine and choindroitin for the aching knees...wonder if that's possible at all.... Hmmm...don't like it. Not very conducive to working out. Just checked my chart and today is a Cardio Recovery day for Insanity. Sounds easy, but I've done this one before and it's not. BUT...not any real cardio to speak of other than the warm up. LOTS of deep stretches, lunges, squats, etc. though. But maybe if I'm still dizzy in a while I can attempt it. Good think it's not a Pure Cardio or ...God forbid...the evil Plyometric Cardio Circuit! :) This will be Day 17. Ten workouts after that and then it's Recovery Week, which I hope is as it sounds...the workout each day is Core Cardio and Balance. Looking forward to that.

Self-compliment of the day...I like the way my shoulders and upper back feel - bones, muscles, tendons. Not covered in layers of fat :) I can't wait for the day I can say that about my thighs...well, with the exception of a little bit of fat. Don't want to look manly-man! LOL

Wow, oh, wow!! I have been having the same problem for the last 3 or 4 days. I literally have to hold on to the bedposts to keep from falling over!! I took my bp this am and it was 95/50 and my pulse rate (resting) was 54. I am thinking that I am getting TOO healthy for my own good!!!

ctlss - I've been concerned about my resting heart rate, too - usually in the mid 40's! I don't think my BP is usually as low as yours, though! That's pretty scary, although I have had a few readings close to yours. I don't like it...I don't know that it means we're getting TOO healthy! :) Maybe something's out of balance? I don't know...didn't do anything all day. No way did I feel like working out, and have been so sleepy. Going to bed, tomorrow is another day and I hope we BOTH feel fine with no dizziness. Did yours start before the skin brushing? I'm just trying to rule out new things that might have contributed to it...

I doubt that the dry brushing was the culprit, the low blood pressure sounds far more likely to be the culprit. Have a great Sunday redwinelover!

Hi! I'm better today, as far as dizziness. I just did yesterday's workout- should have done it yesterday. I'd forgotten how relatively easy it was to do. 32 min, only 100 calorie burn. You know...my blood pressure is normally really pretty good. It's the heart rate that's so low for me. Just now, after 32 min. of serious yoga type stretch moves and very slow deep squats and lunges, (so no cardio), my heart rate is ALL the way up to 61. What a resting heart rate should be! Still wonder if it plays into my abnormally slow metabolism.
