I came down with a wicked fever 7 days ago. I had the chills for almost 20 minutes or more. My fever flew up to 104.8 F. I sat outside in sweatpants/shirt and a heavy night robe because it was 92 degrees F. I knew I needed to stop the chills. I was not sweating. I got nauseous. The chills were very intense. I could not stop shaking. I've never felt anything like it. The chills ran throughout my body. Despite the nausea I took some Tylenol, wet my head, and fell quickly asleep. Luckily I did NOT puke. I needed the meds in me.

I went to the Dr. He thought I needed an Rx. I wanted it mostly to ease the constant fever/headaches. So, after visiting him, I waited at the store for my Rx. By the time I got home, I felt weak, pass-out, exhausted. My fever re-peaked at 103.8. And I was really pleased my visit to him brought home an Rx. I was just realizing how sick I was. My quickness to tire prior to the fever wasn't HOT Summer related. I now believe I was coming down with this about a week earlier.

I'm on day 5 of a Z-pak. I should have never waited for day 2 to see a doctor. Anyway, this morning before I took my last Z-pak, I had a small fever of 100.1 degrees F. I can almost always tell when the fever is present, because of a dull or sharp headache. I have been alternating Tylenol and Advil constantly. I've never had so many back to back to back pain pills before.

I'm spitting up a lot of thick dark green mucus. Yet, I can breathe easily through both nostrils. I didn't have any mucus to spit up for the 1st 2 or 3 days into the fever. I believe the Doc is on the right track to assume walking pneumonia. It would explain my shortness of breath and weakness whenever I would try to exercise prior to the fever. It is odd to have so much mucus without drainage in my nose or pressure in my ears. Where is the mucus coming from?

Cure: Finished Rx. getting a lot of rest, eating well, even when not hungry, & drinking at least 64 oz of fluids daily.
