Whoo-hoo. Went for a hike this morning. Probably the last "valley" hike until late Sept. Hackberry Springs - maybe 7 1/2 miles. Got out there at 6:15, so we beat most of the heat. Good time, glad we went. And I love how many calories hiking burns : )

Wow you are soooo motivated I LOVE it! We should have gone on a hike this weekend - but after the 7.5 hours of driving that I did on Saturday - we ended up going early morning fishing for 5 hours. I caught a 25lb catfish! That's huge! It was nuts, so worth going... but it was like 9am and all of a sudden BOOM it was like 90 degrees with about 10000% humidity. NEVER MOVE HERE lol! My friend just moved back from living in NV for a year, and even though he grew up in the Midwest near me - that one year of hot dry heat totally spoiled him! He can't handle the humidity yet - and it's even bad for me! I've never experienced the dry hot heat for more than a few days on vacation - and I'm afraid too, lol! I might spoil myself!! ------------------------------------------------------ ARG Well you know I'm totally frustrated - but I'm LOVING seeing your chart go down!! A bazillion kudos to keeping on track while not moving - I'm trying to use you as my main motivation to not get all frustrated and just "give up". I honestly am not sure I could just... not continue, lol you know - it's trying to make a lifestyle change, not just a "diet"... but dang girl... NOW I can really empathize with you, seeing the scale day after day being a total beeyotch!! So, you pushed through and got results - I know I should be able to do the same... but man, a whole month without weight loss? That's really crazy to me... I mean, if you try like you and I do, (and you try more than me, I'm still always jealous of how much exercise you do... though I should just use that jealousy to make myeslf work out more, lol but... man I feel like I'm at my limit of what I can do)... That's a lie though, I know I could work out longer each day, maybe that's what I need to do. -------------------------------------------------- So, now that the hiking season is a little "past its prime" (lol), what do you guys do in AZ in the summer? Again I'm not used to the dry, hotness of the west - so, anything fun you and your hubby go out and do during the hot hot days? Again, the humidity here is so gross - It's fine to be sitting outside (in the shade of course) then as SOON as you move you're drenched in sweat. ----------------------------------- Anyway, tonight I'm gonna try and get another workout in, gonna require lots of fans and probably letting the sun set for a few hours lol... I need to just stop thinking about it so much. I'm afraid of the scale now though. :(
