redwinelover's Journal, 10 June 2010

Ate far too much yesterday and did almost no exercise. And I woke up yesterday so positive and excited to be under 150 finally - can't believe I'd blow it on a day like that. Up nearly a pound today, but I actually won't record it since I know it's impossible to gain a pound if I've eaten a couple hundred calories more than I burned. I only jumped on the scale to try to reinforce working out hard today and eating well. I might try to stick to under 1300 calories again for a bit and see if that helps or not. I seriously would like to lose 10 lbs in the next five weeks - how long it is until my appointment. I've got a week in there where I'll be in CA, too, which isn't going to help the situation. Unless I am stubborn and dedicated and work out while I'm there. I think in the meantime, I'm going to think about working out twice a day for a while, see how that goes. Well...I say as it's nearly 10:00am and I haven't done the first work out yet. I'm thinking to do two shorter workouts - like 45 min. each. I know the "after burn" lasts a few hours. It'd be nice to do it in the morning after breakfast, and then again in the late afternoon and maybe have those dinner calories burn at a higher rate. Ha! I talk...let's see if I DO : )

...LATER....okay, I just finished the "first" workout. Did Cardio Max 1 & 2, stretching, 10 min. break, then did Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism workout for nearly an hour. Think I'll go cool off in the pool for a bit, have some lunch, then see if I can make myself go do some weights. Now...if I can only do this well with the food over the next several weeks : )

RWL, if anyone can walk the walk it is you! You are doing awesome, and we all take breaks from our routine periodically, as wwe should. The important thing is that you are right back at it today, and that you understand that it was just a small break! Keep up the good work and have a wonderful day!

I appreciate your confidence in me! (wish I had that much belief in myself : ) I do "allow" myself a break here and there (sometimes too many), but when they just sort of happen, when it's not a planned break, then I beat myself up about it. But you're right - the important thing is to get right back to it (as I take a break from the cardio portion of my workout and am watching a lot of sweat drip off my hair onto my lap - TMI!). I seem to feel better when I get the cardio portion out of the way first...seems to set the calorie burning on higher (according to my bodybugg) and... well, I just don't like cardio! So it's nice to knock that one out first. Thanks! I hope you're having a great day, too!

Hell D - lol I love how our days off are like the same days... it's kinda funny. But not funny cause I know how it feels to be just bleh once in a while (obviously, you read my journal) and I'm fighting the urge to be all bleh today. I haven't even recorded any exercise today... I didn't do much except work on a tank system (meaning... draining water with a hose, refilling a tank with a hose, chasing fish with a net...) so nothing too much... But I'm in a funk.-------------------------------- Always jealous of your workouts, dang! And I'll be so excited to be able to say "in the pool" soon... I'm hoping we can move as soon as 2 weeks, I'm like an expert mover now, moved 5 times in the last 7 years, lol... Just always accumulating more stuff! UGH!------------------------------- And you're totally right about not recording. That's not a real pound you gained at all. I am so proud that we're both under 150! I'm barely there, I need to push it but I don't know how. I feel like I'm already semi-burnt out on working out, maybe it's the heat or the humidity rather... but I don't know. So you're going to try for under 1300? I might do the same, starting tonight. Yesterday I had a binge snack fest at night. I just got soooo hungry - and we hadn't gone grocery shopping until today, so there was nothing healthy to eat. FINALLY today we have SO many yummy fresh foods to eat. I'm looking forward to my fruit snack later!! Anyway hun... you're doing so great, I'm totally inspired, and we're both in the same place and feeling the same way, we just need to man up LOL no I'm joking - but persevere through this. I know you and I can lose and get to our goals. We're both pretty close, seriously! It's nuts. :D Talk to ya soon! *hug*
