YasLam21's Journal, 30 August 2018

I have been in a lazy funk for the last 3 days. Yesterday I went through my work out and spent more time taking breaks on the mat than actually working out. I didn't even log it in because it didn't feel right. Today I skipped my morning workout simply because I didn't feel like doing anything. I'm hoping this funk passes soon.

You got this! Shake the funk off and try something different, maybe you're in an exercise rut??

I frequently don't feel up to exercising, but I just pull up and get it done. It always makes me feel better once I do. the exercise definitely lifts my moods and gives me energy. Maybe you have not been eating enough and feeling drawn.

@meldurfee I think that's probably it. I'll look into getting new work outs and see if that helps the mood. I'll definitely workout by Saturday tho...when the guilt kicks in.

I feel that way too especially today. I’m wondering if it’s possibly ketosis?

We all know the exercise Grinch. Do feel better just as long as I do something, even if it isn't my complete routine. Keep the focus to get around that Grinch!

It's the days that I am the most reluctant to go to the gym that I get the most benefit. I find it important to eat well before going to fuel my workout...

You getting enough sleep? I hope it passes quick I always train on empty stomach, different strokes for different folks.

I belive Melderfee is right. Doing the same thing day after day will put anyone in a funk. Try something different and you'll be back up to speed in no time.

@Keith George Cooke I work out on an empty stomach as well but I've been going to bed later and later lately and waking up late as well and I'm really grogy. Before this week these weren't even issues I had to deal with.

Not enough sleep is something I can conclusively say will lower you gym sessions and mood in general I wear a heart rate monitor in my morning sessions (F45) everyday and if I even lose an hours sleep I generally have about a 10-15% loss. Can't keep heart rate up and I just know I don't put the same level of effort in. Saying that getting 8 hours sleep every night can be a task in itself😣. I hope ya get to the root of it. Never fun to hear someone is in a slump

@Keith George Cooke I'm feeling alot better today. I got a solid 8 hours in and I woke up feeling pretty good. I'll definitely be putting in some work later today once I get home. Thanks for the support!
