Keto Sweeteners: new video from 2 Fit Docs called Sweetners in coffee & Fasting Round Two."

If you are keto and use sweeteners, go watch. Very sad results for resistant metabolisms.

I'm going to now ditch all sweeteners and do total carb @ 20.

Let's see if my body responds to that! Ha!

Have a great weekend.

I am sure they are right, but I tried to ditch them, but they are the-last-crutch-I-have :) :) (sigh)

the difference is that some people are more sensitive to the products. the stevia has the least amount of effect for both of them. I don't think a minor minor shift of the stevia laced coffee will change my ways. I just can not tolerate unsweetened coffee. Adfwebserver, you are doing well and you have tested this on yourself. everyone is different with how this will react. one coffee a day will not hurt your overall goals. It is all about not overdoing on any commercial product in my mind.

Adef, me too, my entire life a krutch. but I can give up coffee lol. I don't drink much. Baskington, yup, everyone is different, BUT for people like me, who can't seem to get this moving, my doc said today ditch it! I'm going cold turkey tomorrow! No more crystal light, nothing! I'm not losing like I think I should. When I get to a steady pace of losing, I might try adding. I'm hoping I win a ketone blood meter in the give away in 4 days, till I can afford one, I'll go 20 g total carbs, try to do one meal a day, and no sips of anything sweet. When I blast through what ever is stalling me, it's gonna be great!

Yeah I learned from last round here - cut out all sweeteners, fruit, and keep my carbs under 20g or I will not lose weight. I have been trying to keep under 10g because of my age now, but not doing to well with that.

I didn't like unsweetened coffee either, until I forced myself to cut out all refined sugars. I really love black coffee now!

I started sweetening my coffee with vanilla or caramel protein shake from Pure Protein. I only have one cup of coffee a day. I’m not sure if this is good or bad but I figure it has to be better than sugar. Any thoughts?

Zava watch the video, and you decide! If your losing, then it's ok! But no, I don't think protein powder is any good anymore, it's processed, and already broken down. Just my opinion. If your doing keto fasting then it would possibly kick you out, it's might as well not fast.

If you can handle the whey products Zavala I don't see any problem with it at all. Having a little protein boost to start your day is a good thing. Many women on a diet lack enough protein. most protein powders do have sugar or other sweeteners in them but I am sure you read the label to see if it fits in your diet plan

@zavala68 - I put in half a scoop (1.5 carbs) of "Quest Vanilla Milkshake Protein Powder" in my coffee each morning. I then have 2 scoops in heavy cream (6 carbs total) at night. Nothing else. I've been dropping a pound a day. But, everyone is different.

I don’t like to sweeten my coffee or tea but I like to add it when baking. I usually add half the amount the recipe says though :/

Crashtestdawnie thAt's nice you don't care for sweet coffee but did you see their results? Coffee wasn't the point, sorry. Artificial sweeteners messed wish their ketone levels which would mess with the efficiency of fat burn. To everyone, if your happy with your weight loss go ahead, just know how it COULD affect you . Some people sip on diet coke or diet drinks during the day slowing down far loss. OkWhich could sabotage their whole day. I'm looking forward to getting a meter so I know how my body reacts to everything.

yes checking different things yourself Jenabba will be a great help. not just with sweeteners, but different foods too. I try making my chocolate bombs with and without any sweeteners they don't require but a 1/4 teaspoon of stevia to a teaspoon of a monk fruit combo. that is different then baking a batch of fudge brownies which I will eventually try, they depend on much more sweetener for the recipe. I just am not ready to test myself that much. Stevia and chocolate don't mix well together, makes a bit of a odd taste. I like the fat bombs in chocolate without the stevia or such a slight amount it does not matter. I have tried the monk fruit combo in a slight amount and not sure it did anything for the recipe. I do think that might effect my ketones if I needed to use a 1/4 to half cup in a cake/brownie recipe.

BASKINGTON, great, I'm so glad you don't have a problem losing weight! 👍 for everyone else, this post is to give us ideas how to try to isolate why were not losing besides hormones, carbs spinach, yadaas! Thanks for telling me how you use sweeteners but that has nothing to do with the post!

Zavala, are you doing keto 20 carb? And NO your Pure Protein is not better than any sugar. I just looked up the ingredients. It contains fructose, just another way of saying sugar, that's why it has 5 carbs per serving too. Just use sugar if you use that. Honestly, it's what every your diet plan your on but look at labels and Google ingredients. I use to use protein powder then I was in a different diet but never helped me. I hope that helps. Get your protein from food sources not commercially processed stuff. The whole point of keto low carb is to keep blood sugar down and keep insulin from spiking all day.
