Yes, another 1.5 down! I wasn't sure after eating mashed potatoes and gravy at Thanksgiving. Boy, that sure tasted good. I also had two small slices of apple pie and a piece of sugar free cake this past Sunday at a bday party I was at.

My jeans saga continues. I'm frustrated that I seem to be inbetween sizes with Lane Bryant's jeans. They had a great after Thanksgiving sale and I figured I'd stock up since my other jeans are getting too big. I can almost fit in their size 18's. I just can't get them buttoned or zipped up all the way. I was so torn on what size to buy. The 20's felt great. I didn't want to chance buying them and having them get too big as well, so I bought the 18's. So I'm really hoping I can get into them. Their jeans are not cheap so I'd hate to be out the money. I can get into a size 18 with Gloria Vanderbelt's jeans. I'm always amazed how sizes differ with different brands.

wow. 3.5 pounds this week. I think this is the best weigh in I've had since the first week when I lost 7 pounds. I'm still not sure how I did this, but I'm not complaining. I was running low on food since it was almost payday. I made some spaghetti with 96% lean hamburger, my low sugar pasta sauce and wheat pasta. Since I had like no food in the apartment, I had spaghetti for two days in a row for all meals (except breakfast, of course). I'm sure that's way more grain than recommended, but I swear, the breads and grains seem to help me. And so far I've been losing weight steadily, so it appears to work for me.I also did hardly any exercise on my leg magic machine since my arthritis has flared up this week and is making my knees ache pretty bad. I bought a Pilates circle last night and I want to try this. I saw the infomercial ages ago but didn't want to get DVD's every month. So I'm hoping this will help add to my exercise regime. Although the leg magic really seems to help me out as well.

This is a good way to start Thanksiving week. I don't pig out at Thanksgiving, but I'm really wanting some mashed potatoes. I'm going to a bday party today and I also know that I won't be able to resist having a piece of cake. I feel now like I can have them.

You know how everyone says you shouldn't hang on to clothes that you never wear or can't fit in to anymore? I've had a pair of jeans that I haven't been able to wear for 3 years. I just couldn't part with them. This past Friday, I thought, let's try them on and see if I can wear them again. Yes! I could. I didn't feel like my circulation was cut off when I zippered them. I used to always feel pressure on my stomach since they were cut a little tighter that I usually wear. By no means am I skinny, but I sure felt a lot skinnier after being able to wear these again. They still were a little tight in the hips but being able to zip up them up, without sucking in my stomach, was fantastic.

And I know this sounds silly, but I'm thrilled to see I am only 7 pounds away from my what my driver's license says. Whoo hoo.

Ok, my first posting here. I'm practically jumping for joy to have finally hit my 20 pounds lost mark. Took 9 weeks but I'm there. My page here says 26.5 but the starting weight was wrong. I started at 243.5 pounds. When I first logged in, I went with what my doc's office scale said, but I had 4-5 pounds of clothes on, so it wasnt' accurate. Anyway, I probably would have hit 20 pounds during the 8th week, but I had such a craving for a cheeseburger and fries. I had it for 3 days and eating turkey burgers just wasn't going to cut it. I did manage to eat a small size burger from Wendy's and the small fries. I did notice that I got full sooner. Before this diet, I'd eat the medium sized #1 and it took that whole burger to fill me up. I'm glad my little indulgence didn't cause me to gain anything. The past few weeks have been bad due to Halloween chocolate around the house, employee appreciation days at work that consisted of pizza and burgers and a slight wavering in dealing with my cravings. I have to admire myself though. I am a burger junkie. I would have at least 1 a week before. To go 8 weeks without one is a miracle for me.
