I'm a 31 year old who has strugged with her weight pretty much since high school. My sophmore year I lost 30 pounds only to gain it back by senior year and then some over the years. I currently am single with my "kids" being my dog (who you see in the photo) and my rabbit. I figured now was the time to get serious about losing weight again. I had two different doctors tell me to lose weight or else I was looking at knee surgery in a few years. I have arthritis in my knees and lower back. I also have a heel spur and plantar fascitis (or however you spell it) so I know my weight is not helping any of these symptoms. My regular doc recommended the South Beach Diet for me as I needed something that specifically stated what I could and could not have. Giving up bread has been hard. Bread has always been a vice, and I confess, I am eating wheat bread or some grain with 2 of my daily meals. As someone who hates to cook, I pretty much eat a lot of the same things and this got me in trouble with the fast food. I'm hoping to get back to 150-160 pounds but at this point, 200 would be great. I'm a huge Disney nut so I'm hoping a trip to Disneyland will be a great reward when I reach my goals.
