Busy weekend....

Met the fam after work on Saturday so we could drive to the outlet mall to do some school shopping. Got done there at about 8:30, so went out to dinner at Applebee's. That wasn't so bad as I had one of their WW options. Slept in a little on Sunday, then got up and made pancakes for everyone. Took 15 year old daughter and son to do MORE shopping... spent 4 hours at the mall!! Hubby and I shared Panda Express for lunch... not very good as far as points, but sure tasted good!! Stopped at Wal Mart to pick up some stuff for the house and a few groceries. After getting all of that home, hubby and I went out again to continue looking for shoes for him... he's very picky about shoes and wears a 14 so it's hard to find them... and we're still looking!!

Did good for food last night-- made a nice big salad for everyone. Hubby challenged me last night... He said "Let's weigh ourselves in the morning and see who loses the most weight by Sunday night", so now... It's ON!!! I told him we may have to do it according to percentage, though... we'll see.

Daughter and I got up this morning and went to the gym for 1/2 hour on the treadmill, then I came home and did a lower body workout on my On DEMAND channel. Already have drank 40 ounces of water.

Have to take the girls to the doctor this morning, then to Kohl's, then the mall. Then I have to get home and get some bills paid (before all the money is gone:) ) and get some laundry done as well as some other housework. I sure can't wait until next week... so much less housework when the kids aren't home all day!! Oh, yeah, I also have to get ready to leave for Flagstaff, AZ on Wednesday... Lots to do!

OHHHH!!! Almost forgot--- Hubby and I ordered a new bedroom set yesterday!!! Bed, dresser, mirror, and two nightstands that ALL MATCH!! We won't get it until mid October, but I'm so excited to have matching furniture and get a real bed, not just the frame! It's so pretty, too!

Okay... I think that's it. Gotta get my day going. Have a good one everybody!!!
UPDATE;

Just got back from Kohl's... spent nearly $100 on undergarments for my daughters-- and got myself a matching bra and panty set. Came home to have some lunch and are now headed to the mall. On our way home, the girls and I were talking about points and BOTH of them decided they want to start counting points more... YAY!! I think I'm going to get my youngest set up on here so she can track her food....

Feeling really good!! Another day of getting my workout done first thing-- and actually a little longer this morning. I did about 50 minutes between two different workouts. Todays focus was arms and abs.

Ended up with no kids at home last night, so hubby and I went to Outback Steakhouse for dinner. I threw on one of my 'little black dresses' (thank you Imluuvd!) and some heels and off we went. Had a really good dinner and a yummy drink, then came home to have a nice, kid free night alone. By the time he got off work last night, hubby had in 55 hours for the week, so luckily he didn't have to go in until 6:30 this morning and was able to get some decent sleep. Today looks like it's going to be a fairly early day for him, thankfully.

We're hoping to finish up school clothes shopping this weekend. We're planning on hitting the mall tonight for a few things, then heading to the Outlet mall tomorrow afternoon to put the finishing touches on. Plan is to have it all done by tomorrow so we don't have to spend all day Sunday doing it-- We'll see! May take the kids bowling again.

Have some computer work to get done this morning, then heading out for a short drive to a store where I will help train a new employee and then head home at a decent time.

For those that started these challenges, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!! This was just the motivation I needed to kick me into gear on my activity. The accountability of reporting really helps me. So, again, THANK YOU!!

Have a great Friday everyone!!

So far, so good. Even after a late night, waking up (slightly) with hubby at 4 am, then getting up for good at 6, I stuck to my plan of getting my exercise in first thing!! My daughter is babysitting a 2 year old and they were using my living room tv, which is the only one with the on Demand feature, so I just put on my ankle weights and did some leg and ab exercises for about 25 minutes in the privacy of my bedroom. It's amazing to me what a difference a weight added to your ankle makes.. and I believe they are only 2.5 pounds! I have also been working in the stores more recently, so I am getting a lot more standing and walking in during the day, as well as staying on top of my water intake. AND.... got on the scale this morning and I am back down almost 3 pounds since Monday!! YAY!!!

Yesterday was fairly uneventful. I worked until 4:30 then headed home-- right during rush hour!! A drive that takes me 1/2 hour without traffic took one and a half hour!! So, after picking up my youngest daughter and her two friends to spend the night, I ended up getting home about 6:30, made dinner for the kids, and proceeded to wait for my hubby to get home. Poor guy has been working sooo much.. just since Monday, he already has 42 hours in, and he still has two more days! He got home at 9 last night and had to be back at work at 5 this morning. I keep hoping that things will slow down for him just so he can rest a little, but winter is coming and that is actually the busier time for his company, as well as mine, so I don't see much of a break coming.

I am getting ready to take my second oldest to the high school to pick up her schedule. My youngest daughter didn't want to get hers yesterday and doesn't want to get up this morning, so she'll have to walk down there on her own when she's ready.

Sounds boring, but that's it for now. I have to finish eating my breakfast, drink my morning water, and make myself presentable so my daughter is not embarrassed by me at the school ;) Have a SUPER FANTASTIC day!!!

Feeling successful first thing this morning... I have decided that I am going to need to get my work out in BEFORE I 'fatsecret', otherwise, I sit here for so long going over journals, etc., that I end up having no time!! So, I got up this morning, flipped on my On DEMAND feature and worked out to a Biggest Loser workout for 25 minutes... AND it incorporated weights, so that counts for my weight lifting challenge! I also ended up getting in about 64 oz of water before bedtime as well as lifting my weights last night while watching t.v. for about 1/2 hour! So, all in all, feeling like my day has started off on the right foot!

Not much going on today. Since I let both of the girls go to friends houses last night, I have to get my son up a little early today and take him to my oldest daughters apartment. She's going to let him hang out with her today while I'm working. My youngest daughter gets her schedule for her first year of HIGH SCHOOL today, then my second oldest gets hers tomorrow (she's a sophomore). Next week is my son's orientation for middle school. I'll be in Arizona, but my hubby is going to take the time off to take him. My daughter also has freshman orientation the same day. The high school has a program for incoming freshman that, if they hold up to all the requirements, earns them an extra 1/2 credit. They call it Thunder Success Academy. They have the kids come in for a week a month before school starts to get used to the layout of the school, meet some teachers, learn a little about high school expectations, and get an upperclass mentor so they feel more comfortable in the beginning. Throughout the year, they will have meetings to make sure they are staying on track and will have help available for homework, etc. It sounds to me like a good program. I know my freshman year was tough, and I was a decent student!

Anyway, got a little drive today for work, but a longer one tomorrow. Not getting on a plane this week, but I will be heading out next Wednesday until Sunday-- at least, that's how it stands now. My schedule tends to change on the spur of the moment quite often.

Okay, got to get on with my day-- starting with a good breakfast! Hope everyone has a great Wednesday!!
